I'm a fellowship-trained Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon practicing at Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital Springfield, Sunnybank Private Hospital and Mater Public Hospital.
My Expertise
I specialise in the treatment of kidney and prostate cancer, with particular expertise in robotic surgery. I also have advanced training in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and treat a wide range of general urological conditions. My clinical practice encompasses minimally invasive techniques including robotic and laparoscopic surgery, as well as open surgery when required.
Training & Qualifications
After completing my medical degree at the University of Wollongong, I trained in urology at leading hospitals throughout Brisbane and Sydney. I was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Urology in 2024.
Following this, I completed a prestigious Uro-Oncology Fellowship at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in London, one of the world's leading centres for robotic surgery. During this fellowship, I worked alongside internationally recognised experts, gaining advanced skills in both robotic and open uro-oncological procedures.
I also hold postgraduate qualifications in Surgical Anatomy, a Master of Surgery and a Executive Fellowship in Surgical Leadership.
Robotic Surgery
I'm trained in multiple robotic platforms including the Da Vinci robotic system, Medtronic Hugo™ RAS, and Microport Toumai system, allowing me to offer patients the most advanced surgical options available.
Advanced BPH Treatments
I'm one of only a few Queensland urologists fellowship-trained in Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), and the only urologist in the state trained in Aqua Ablation. I also offer REZUM water vapour therapy, providing patients with access to the latest minimally invasive options for enlarged prostate.
Research & Education
Beyond clinical practice, I'm actively involved in research and education. I've presented my work at national and international conferences and received several awards for my contributions to the field.
